Every once in a while, we find ourselves faced with a really difficult decision. We have grown really attached to Meli who has lived in our house and been with us day in and day out for so long now. She really has grown to be a part of our family and for that reason it is super hard to consider placing her in a new home. Because of our changing family circumstances (kids grow up, our work situations change & new dogs come into the family) we have decided that it is best for Meli and for us to find her a special home. Meli is a wonderful dog, one of our nicest - in fact, she reminds us so very much of Mocha, our first Lagotto. Meli is brown roan, though today she looks a fairly even grey. She is just over 3 years old, she is used to being with people throughout the day and she is very affectionate. Meli is looking for a home of medium activity level. If your kids are calm and looking for a snuggle buddy, she is your gal. She will do equally well in an older couples home. She does need limited exercise (a walk and/or session of fetch each day, but otherwise is quite content to keep you company, whether that is sitting at your feet while you work at a desk or on the sofa as you take in a show. She loves attention and gives plenty of it back. She will not do well in a house where she is left alone for an extended period of time for she just isnt used to that.
Meli is up to date on all her shots, has been chipped, is a fabulous temperment, and really is special to us. She is of course house broken and while we have not done extensive obedience training with her, she knows her basic commands and is quite easy to handle.
We will be fairly discerning with her placement because she is a special part of our family, but if you feel that she may be right for you, we would love to hear of your interest.
